Plymouth Vikings Cheer

Welcome to Plymouth Vikings Youth Cheer. We are a volunteer-run organization, founded to develop responsibility, hard work, sportsmanship, and team work in a safe, fun and positive atmosphere. PVYFC serves North Plymouth Grades 1-8 and is a member of the Old Colony Youth Cheer Association (OCYCA).

Cheer Sideline & Competition (Comp)

We provide two levels of participation: Sideline Cheer and Competition Cheer.

Competition Cheer squads will participate in three competition meets throughout the season, in addition to cheering at Viking football games and a showcase.

Competition Cheer is optional and requires a tryout, a separate registration and an additional $150 fee.

All cheerleaders on the Competition Cheer team are also required to participate in Sideline Cheer.

Competition Cheer tryouts will be held in June, with specific dates and times to be announced. Registration for competition cheer will not be available until after the tryouts.

Who is eligible?

School District:

Members must live in the Plymouth North High School district.

AGES

Tiny Mites: Grades 1 and 2

Mites: Grades 3 and 4

Pee Wees: Grades 5 and 6

Midgets: Grades 7 and 8

When

Cheer Camp:

Starts in August. Times and schedue TBD

Football Season:

Early September - End of October with a potential for November games.

Sundays, rain or shine.

Practices

Practices:

Tiny Mite: Typically 1 practice per week.

Sideline cheer: 2 practices per week through the second game of the season only.

Competition Cheer: 2-3 days per week indoors, Monday-Thursday. Gym location and times TBD and are subject to change due to gym availability. Competition practices are mandatory, please see our attendance policy in the resources tab.

Games

Regular Season Games: We cheer for all Viking Varsity Sunday football games starting beginning of September and finishing end of October.

Post Season Games: Start beginning of November.

Sideline Cheer Only: $200

Competition Cheer: + $150

Volunteer Requirements

All PVYFC members are required to do two volunteer shifts per child.

We offer the option to buy out your volunteer time if you are unable to help.
